Melissa Mazza first began practicing yoga in middle school after discovering a book about yoga in the bargain bin of a local bookstore and has been practicing ever since. She completed her first 200-hour teacher training in 2008 and taught yoga, as well as belly dance classes, in various studios and gyms in New Jersey, always with an emphasis on making yoga accessible to all people. In the years since, she moved to New York, completed another teaching course, and has received certifications in Yin Yoga, Chair Yoga, and Ayurveda. She currently teaches classes online classes for kids and in-person classes at BQE Fitness as well as other locations in Queens.
